Navy Pier is saddened by the recent passing of Gov. Jim Thompson, who was instrumental in giving us all the gift of reopening Navy Pier in 1995. We are grateful for his vision and leadership as a committed public servant who understood the value of public space. The entire Navy Pier family extends its heartfelt condolences to the Thompson family.
